A Gin and Tonic Update

They say that necessity is the mother of invention, and I have made a discovery about gin and tonics born out of necessity.

The other day I wanted a gin and tonic but there was no seltzer water in the house.  I did have, however, S.Pellegrino mineral water. I figured that it was also bubbly water so it would work too–and did it ever.

A gin and tonic made with S. Pellegrino is more delicate and refreshing, it allows the flavors of the gin and tonic water to shine through.  An added benefit is you can purchase the 6 pack of smaller bottles (1 bottle will make about 3 drinks) and then you always open a fresh bottle when you make a round of drinks–no more flat water!

Give this a try next time you make a gin and tonic.
